Paving services and sufficient length

A pressure treated wood board works well for purpose and use at least for the bulkhead and as this allow a portion to be below ground to keep the sand from leaching out and the top of the bulkhead from the bare ground plus the thickness of the paver or stepping stone. We should fill the inside area of the patio area with sand to deep and smooth it down with a screed and we can use anything of sufficient length to make the surface uniform. While discussing Bay area paving, my friend told me that if we select to lay the sand on bare ground and we should contend with grass and other things sprouting and working their way up through the cracks between the pavers. The use of a thick plastic or rubberized material beneath the sand helps to keep much of the errant weeds from ever germinating. Pavers should be fitted together tightly to make the design work and prevent items from being lodged between them.
